Scuba Diving Magazine and the Florida Keys & Key West Tourism Council have teamed up to offer you the chance to dive the USAF Gen. Hoyt S. Vandenberg, in Key West. To register, fill out the form below.
Key West's soon-to-be artificial reef, the Vandenberg, is scheduled to make the trip to Key West in March and hang out for a couple of months before her scheduled sink date of May 15. And you could be among the first divers in the world to dive it!
You could win four nights of accommodations for two at the Southernmost Hotel in a deluxe room with either a king or two beds, which will be good anytime between May 10 and Aug. 20, 2008, based on availability and excluding the July 4 holiday weekend.
If the winners can be in Key West for the sinking, they will be among the first to dive the wreck (after it is cleared for diving) courtesy of Dive Key West, and will get to be on a VIP boat to witness the sinking. If not, Dive Key West will take them to the Vandenberg when they can take the trip. Winners will receive a commemorative relic from the ship.
Winners will also receive a VIP pass for two that will provide comp admission to various Key West attractions.
